About Assistify - Virtual Assistant for Small Business
I’m Rachel Thomas, owner of Assistify, Virtual Assistant.
When I started Assistify in February 2020, I had no idea what kind of a journey I was about to embark upon.
Running a business has always been in my blood, but it has taken me a long time to actually take the plunge myself. My family have run diverse businesses including dairy farming and owning a milk round, a betting shop and a bakery.
For the last twenty years, my background has been in finance. I worked for two big insurance companies in Bristol.
Following that, my career path changed and I moved into accounts working alongside my husband in his businesses, and working for accountancy firms in my home town.
I’ve seen first hand the pain, determination and strength it takes to build up your own business.
It is hard work and incredibly time-consuming but rewarding. At times you have to choose between your business and family.
We all know this is never an easy choice to make. But I believe now is the time for me.
My children are growing up fast, and the time needed from me is less. With extra time on my hands, where better than to spend it in my own business helping other people with their businesses?

Our Values
Treat others as you want to be treated
I’ve always tried to live by this rule. This most certainly includes how I want to be treated as a customer.
Give excellent customer service
The definition of “Customer Service” from the Oxford dictionary is:
“The assistance and advice provided by a company to those people who buy or use its products or services”
This may be the dictionary definition of Customer Service, but I feel it means something different to each of us, and how we believe we should be treated will differ from person to person. We all have expectations which vary. There are many examples of successful businesses and services out there, big and small, but their customer experience leaves a lot to be desired. Success doesn’t mean customer happiness.
Exceed expectations
Holding myself to very high standards and providing a good customer service alone will not satisfy my desires for Assistify. I want to exceed my client’s expectations, not just by completing the tasks required, but doing everything possible to make my client feel happy they came to me for assistance. My mission is to deliver precise, reliable help and support to my customers so that they don’t need to worry about that side of their business, so they can focus on other areas.
Hiring a Virtual Assistant is a very personal thing for a business owner to do, and you must trust and have faith in your chosen professional. I work with people, listen to their challenges, understand their business and assist them to succeed in their goals.
